By popular request, Fuchs Audio Technology is now providing
service, maintenance, and custom modifications to select tube
amplifiers. If you own a traditional tube amp like a Fender,
Marshall, Ampeg, Music Man, Sunn, Boogie, Sundown, Bruno, Vox,
Two-Rock, or similar “real” tube amp, we can service it better
than anyone on the east coast. We have the parts and technical
knowhow to bring these amps up to original or enhanced performance
levels. Whether it’s a restoration, retube, recap, rebias, or
modifications to your own personal requirements, we can do it.
We specifically DO NOT work on solid state, digital amps, keyboards
or digital rack effects. We do what we know and do best: DONE
ONCE-DONE RIGHT.
Our repair department operates directly under the supervision
of Andy Fuchs, and all units are QC’ed by him upon completion
by our staff. Andy started on NYC’s 48th street at the original
“We Buy Guitars” and also provided private repair services to
numerous music stores throughout the NY area since 1976. His
repair and custom clients have included George Benson, The Ramones,
Bruce Springsteen, Wayne Wright, Paul Jackson Junior (American
Idol), Al DiMeola, Dweezil Zappa and many others.
Our shop works by appointment ONLY! We have a quick turn
around time, we are reasonably priced, and we’re world renowned
for the quality of our products and services. Shop hours are
8:00 to 6:00 M-F, EST, and most Saturdays from 10:30 to 4:00.
Warranty on repairs is one year, except tubes which are 90-days.

Technology ODS Mods:
By popular demand, Fuchs Audio Technology has reintroduced
our ODS mod program. Our modification program takes your donor
amp (see list below) and converts it to an ODS style amplifier.
While the internal circuits are not completely identical to
what we build into our production amps, the tones and basic
circuit designs are rooted in the same “DNA” that’s found in
our production amps. Mod prices vary based on the model being
modified and the feature set you want, so contact us with your
needs. We also accept drop shipped amps off eBay or from third
parties to save you shipping costs.
Our modified amps are complete “gut and rebuild” mods, which
use your tubes, transformers, footswitch (if applicable) and
your chassis and cabinet. We replace everything which usually
includes filter caps, tube sockets, switches, jacks, wiring,
and a new front panel. It’s infinitely easier for us to clear
out the stock circuitry, and start with a clean chassis. They
don’t “look modified” inside or out, they look professional
and sound great!
ODS Mods are now available with the HRM internal post-overdrive
tone stack. Add $100 to the Mod cost. Retrofit available, for
$249 plus round-trip freight, to previously Fuchs modified ODS
amps.
